Patsy Lee Keene, 88 of Taylorville, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born on September 24, 1934 in Granite City, the daughter of Carl and Opal (Fowler) Reifsteck.  She married Daniel Worth Keene on August 31, 1957 in Chillicothe, and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2014.  Patsy was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1263 in Taylorville, the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Christian County Senior Citizens, and the Ansarettes.  She enjoyed spending time on the golf course, playing cards, gardening, and enjoying lunch with family and friends.  More than anything, Patsy loved her family and was the best grandma and GiGi.

She is survived by her children: Mitzi Mills (Doug) of New Richmond, Wisconsin, Mindy Larimore (John) of Edinburg, and Mike Keene (Laura Jarosz) of Green Bay, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Brendon Larimore, Mario Figueroa, Danielle Scott, Laura Robinson, Lindsay Larimore, Phillip Mills, Sean Keene, and Matthew Keene; great grandchildren: Irelyn and Landyn Ewing, Addison, Ivan, and Alden Robinson, and Brody Scott; siblings: Barb Stedman and Pete Reifsteck (Hilda); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepfather: George; and sister: June Bornsheuer.

A funeral mass for Patsy will take place at 11:00a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe with Fr. Martin Mwongyera officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church and burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Patsy, or condolences to the family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
