Judith Ann Bragg, 80 of Taylorville, comfortably passed away on July 21, 2023 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing Center.  She was born on August 20, 1942 in Morrisonville, the daughter of William and Ruby (Schmedeke) Friedrich.  She married Don Bragg on June 25, 1987.  Judy spent the majority of her life in Langleyville and Taylorville.  She was a strong advocate for animals and loved Manners Park as well as many other local charities. 

She is survived by her husband: Don Bragg of Taylorville; sons: Jeff (Stephanie) Reid and Mike (Debbie) Reid; sister-in-law: Delores Friedrich; stepchildren: Kent (Jill) Bragg and Kelly (Gary) Brown Jr.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many special friends in the community.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Matthew Reid; brothers: Robert and Larry Friedrich; and sister: Doris Friedrich Oller.

Judy will be cremated, and the family will host a celebration of her life at 2p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Burton’s Tap in Langleyville.  Memorials may be made to the Christian County Animal Shelter to save animals as she always tried to do.  The family would like to thank her niece, Karen Fishel, for all her love and support given over the years.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Judy, or condolences to the family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
