Harold L. Doubles Jr.

Harold L. “Skeet” Doubles Jr., 76 of Stonington passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 9:07 p.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. He was born on January 16, 1947 in Wheeling, WV the son of Harold L. Doubles and Jean S. Grimm. He married Patricia Gehly in 1969 in York, PA and they later divorced. He then married Rosemary Younker on December 31, 1998 in Stonington, IL. Skeet retired from Caterpillar after 30 years and then later from Monsanto after 15 years. He loved Fast Boats, Ford cars, Nascar Racing, Camping, spending time on his back porch and long naps. He loved spending time with his family and meeting new friends.     

He is survived by his wife: Rosemary Doubles of Stonington, IL; Son: Brian Doubles and Companion Ciumara Coronetti of Riverview, FL; Daughter April (Santo) Iacono of Wrightsville, PA; Step-Children: Zach (Melissa) Younker of Monteray, CA; Kendra (Charlie) Gardiner of Avon Lake, OH Cassidy (Sam) Weller of Taylorville, IL; Seven Grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; Sister: Cathy (Randy) Moose of Dover, PA and Brother: Joseph Doubles of York, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his Brother: Daniel Doubles.   

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville, IL. Memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastor Brennan Hurley officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will also be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wrightsville Assembly of God Church 365 Orange St. Wrightsville, PA, 17368. A memorial service will also follow this visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Wrightsville Assembly of God Church in Wrightsville, PA.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital
