Douglas M. Butts, 56, of Taylorville passed from this life at 12:40 A.M. Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

He was born June 17, 1967 in Great Lakes, IL the son of Glenn E. and JoAnn J. (Pollard) Butts. 

Douglas marries Kenneth “Lee” Sedlock October 7, 2013 in Springfield, IL.

Douglas worked for 12 years as a caregiver for Lee Sedlock and formerly as a CNA in Litchfield, IL.  He was a member of the Taylorville Eagles Club where he enjoyed playing Bingo.  He was known to be a big-hearted guy.

Surviving are his husband Lee of Taylorville, IL several brothers and sisters along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters’ Glenda Jean “Jeannie” Moore and Kerri Ann Butts.

A Celebration of Life and A Benefit for Douglas M. Butts will be held at the Eagles Club in Taylorville, IL on Saturday, October 30th starting at 3:00 P.M.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting with arrangements.
