Charles W. Truax Sr., 83 of Edinburg, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Taylorville Care Center.  He was born on November 30, 1939 on his family’s farm in rural Edinburg, the son of Gordon and Elta (Cook) Truax.  Charles was a lifelong farmer in the Edinburg area.  He was a 60 year member of the Blueville Lodge #647 A.F. & A.M.  He had a passion for aviation and held a private pilot license for many years and enjoyed riding motorcycles.  More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his son: Charles Truax Jr. of Edinburg.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Victoria Johnson, Mary Thomas, Clara Harbert, Kenny Truax, and Norman Truax.
