Dorothy Ann Davis, 76 of Taylorville, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.  She was born on November 21, 1946, in Stonington, the daughter of Walter and Gladys (O’Dell) Burton.  She married Ivan Allen who preceded her in death.  On February 14, 1982, she married Cletus Davis in St. Peter’s, Missouri. 

She is survived by her husband: Cletus Davis of Taylorville; children: Craig Allen of Taylorville, Brian Allen (Kara) of Ashland, Missouri, Cleat Davis of Pana, and Robert Davis of Decatur; and grandchildren: Anamay Allen and Elizabeth Allen. 

A private family funeral will be held for Dorothy, and the burial will take place in the Old Stonington Cemetery.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Dorothy, or condolences to her family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
