Betty Lou McLean, 82 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Arcadia Care in Auburn.  She was born on July 3, 1941, in Taylorville, the daughter of Andrew Scott and Helen Margaret (Grimes) Miller.  She married David Patrick McLean Jr. on April 1, 1961, in Taylorville, and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2010.  Betty was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Springfield. 

She is survived by her grandchildren: Megan Belcher (Colton) of Springfield and Kathleen Newhouse of Springfield; and siblings: Marilyn Barrett (Pat) of Taylorville and Susie Miller of Mendham, New Jersey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughters: Andrea Sue McLean and Sheryl McLean.
