Robert “Durb” E. Durbin, Jr., 67, of Taylorville, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Taylorville Care Center.

Robert was born December 7, 1955, in Taylorville, the son of Robert E. and Carol (Lee) Durbin, Sr. He graduated from Taylorville High School with the Class of 1973, and worked his entire life as a farmhand, most recently for Dean McWard. Robert married Deborah Sue (Martin) Spears on November 25, 2022, in Taylorville.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his dogs. Robert was also a talented finish carpenter, making furniture and cabinets for friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his wife, Deborah S. Spears-Durbin of Taylorville; sister, Margie (husband, Rick) Brown of Pleasant Plains; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville.
