Wilma Faye Moore, 76 of Mt. Auburn passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on June 19, 1947 in Illiopolis, IL the daughter of William and Erma Nell (Shartzer) Crist. She married William Moore on November 21, 1965 in the South Fork Church in Rochester, IL.  Wilma worked alongside Bill in Moore’s Garage for many years, and she later managed F.S. of Mt. Auburn. She retired from Memorial Medical Center after 14 years of service. 

She is survived by her husband: William “Bill” Moore of Mt. Auburn, IL; Daughters: Theresa Lee (Herb Smith), Son: Bill (Tina) Moore Jr. and Donna (Scott) Gutmann all of Mt. Auburn, IL; Grandchildren: Eric (Alicia) Moore; Heather Moore of Mt. Auburn and Anna Lee of Illiopolis; Great-Grandchildren: Padric O’Laughlin Jr. and Jaxon Moore; Brother: Charles Christ of Moweaqua, IL and Sister: Edith Moore of Mt. Auburn, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00-12:00 Noon at the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ in Mt. Auburn, IL. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 12:00 noon at the church with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn, IL.

In Leu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ.
