Richard Lynn Wagahoft, 65 of Taylorville, IL, passed away on December 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1958, in Taylorville, IL, to the late Dwight Paul Wagahoft Sr. and Ileane Marie Oats. He married Debra McPeek on April 28, 1978, in Hillsboro, IL, and they spent many happy years together before she preceded him in death on May 4, 2015.

Richard worked for Kennedy Metal for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. In his spare time, he would enjoy drinking Stag Beer and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his sons: Trevor (Holly) Wagahoft of Taylorville, IL; Travis (Amy) Wagahoft of Morrisonville, IL; grandchildren: Meah, Macy, and Shea Wagahoft of Taylorville, IL; Alea and Tyce Wagahoft of Morrisonville, IL; siblings: Dwight Paul Wagahoft Jr. of Taylorville, IL; Dwight Carl Wagahoft of Taylorville, IL; and Paulette Mann of Springfield, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dwight and Ileane Wagahoft; his wife: Debra Wagahoft; and his half-sister: Carol Conrow.

As per Richard’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
