Nancy Carolyn Fleetwood, 66, of Taylorville, IL, died on Monday, December 4, 2023, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

 

She was born on May 7, 1957 in Decatur, the daughter of John Robert and Barbara Jane (Garwood) Lilly, who both preceded her in death. Nancy married Mike Fleetwood in 1987 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2018.

 

Prior to her retirement, Nancy and her husband worked as an over the road truck driving team.  She was an active member of the Taylorville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Nancy had a deep love for horses and enjoyed countless hours of riding with friends and family. She was an avid bird watcher and animal lover.

 

Nancy is survived by her son, Brad (Anjanette) Fleetwood of Taylorville; sister, Linda (Rick) Schilly of Stonington, IL; niece, Abby (Shane) Cornelius; nephew, Chris (Rachel) Schilly; and beloved cats, Casey and Ming.

 

Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.

 

A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3540 Lincoln Trail, Taylorville, IL.
