William “Billy” McKinney, 66, of Morrisonville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home.

Billy was born August 8, 1957, in Taylorville, the only child of the late Charles and Norma Jean (Eyman) McKinney.  He graduated from Morrisonville High School with the Class of 1975 and worked for many years in construction and logging.

Billy is survived by his children, Zachary Taylor of Morrisonville, Adam McKinney of Texas, and Taylor McKinney of Texas; grandson, Paxton Vogel; and several cousins.

Billy will be cremated, and private burial will be held at Morrisonville Cemetery.

The family will host a Celebration of Life from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the American Legion Post #73, 110 W. Franklin Street, Taylorville, IL 62568.

The family has entrusted Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville with arrangements.
