Mary Ellen Tulipana, age 77, of Taylorville, Illinois passed away on February 9, 2024 after a long and full life. She was very loved and will be missed terribly. 

Mary was born on April 9, 1946, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of James Carnes and Mary (Pfieffer) Carnes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tulipana; parents; brother, Jerry Carnes; and granddaughter, Breanna Sklenka.

Mary is surived by her son, Brian (Michelle) Sklenka Sr. of Taylorville, IL; daughter, Kimberly Tulipana of Overland Park, Kansas; sister, Cathy (Mike Sr.) Hostick of Plano, Texas; sister-in-law, Pat Carnes of Morehead City, North Carolina; grandchildren, Bryan, Alex, Cassi, Bretty, Robert, Kalin, Tyler, Alaina, and Maryn; 5 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces; and 1 nephew.

As per Mary's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
