Ronald D. Tucker, 82 of Taylorville, passed away at 8:15a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in his home.  He was born on September 5, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Albert and Edith (Mannion) Tucker.  He married Dawn Joanna Booker on June 16, 1962, in Mt. Auburn, and she preceded him in death on February 15, 2024.  Ron worked for many years for the Kwik-Wall Company in Springfield.  He was a very mechanically inclined person.  Ron could fix anything and enjoyed spending long hours in his garage working on all types of projects.  He and Joanna loved camping together for many years. 

He is survived by his sons: Dwight Tucker of Taylorville and Roger Tucker of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren: Bailee Tucker, Ben Tucker, and Jake Tucker; great granddaughter: Bella Tucker; siblings: Norma Wells and Shirley Henry of Virden, Beverly Bromm of Olney, and Lester (Sherry) Tucker of Springfield; sister-in-law: Donna Tucker of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings: Alberta Bradford, Mary Harter, Alice Sinkhorn, Gene Tucker, Keith Tucker, and Donna Ruth Brachear.

Ronald will be cremated, and a memorial visitation for him and his wife, Joanna, will take place from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
