Mario De Jesus Garcia Juarez

Mario De Jesus Garcia Juarez, 69 of Taylorville, IL, passed away on February 24, 2024, at his residence. He was born on December 26, 1954, in Santa Ana, El Salvador, to Jose Domingo Garcia and Altagracia (Juarez) De Garcia. On May 19, 2018, he married Ana De Garcia in El Salvador, and she survives.

Mario worked as a police officer in El Salvador and later worked in a factory. He loved soccer and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Mario also enjoyed working on and selling cars, as well as spending time with his family, whom he loved more than anything. He was a good, kindhearted person and was a great husband and father. He will forever be remembered for the love and kindness he showed to everyone and is missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Ana De Garcia of Brook, IN; children, Claudia (David) Altagracia Garcia Blake of Taylorville, IL; Cristina Maria Garcia of Taylorville, IL; Tiffany Michelle Garcia of Taylorville, IL; Estefany Altagarcia Garcia-Pente and Alecia Michelle Garcia-Pente of Indiana; grandchildren, Tanesha Garcia; Makia Watkins; Willow Harlow; Connor Blake; Leland Blake; Kestin Garcia; Jazmin Castillo; Selena Garcia; Liliana Calan; Jae’ana Calan; Teresa Lara-Garcia; siblings, Ana Reina Garcia-Juarez; Aura Leonor Garcia-Juarez; Lidia Del Carmen Garcia-Juarez; and Theresa De Jesus Garcia-Juarez all of El Salvador; nephews, Jose, Oscar, and Carlos Garcia all of Chicago, IL; several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; mother-in-law, Ana Marian Penate; and Mario’s ex-wife of twenty years and mother of three of his children, Teresa Vaughn of Taylorville, IL.

Mario was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Blanca Doris Garcia-Juarez, brothers, Jose Ernesto Garcia-Juarez, Oscar Alberto Garcia-Juarez, and Juan Adolfo Garcia-Juarez.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later date in El Salvador.

Memorials may be made to Sutton Memorial Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
