Donna Kelmel, age 67, of Morrisonville, IL passed away on March 8, 2024 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born on October 5, 1956 in Taylorville the daughter of Paul L Durbin and Mary J (Orr) Durbin.

She graduated from Taylorville High School in 1974. She married Dave Kelmel in Morrisonville in 2006. Donna was described as a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister. She worked at Taylorville Memorial Hospital for 27 years where she was known as a very hard worker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Donna enjoyed traveling, dancing and especially her music.

Donna is survived by her son, Aaron Durbin, of Morrisonville IL; daughter Kristin Durbin Hunt (Tim); brother Michael R Durbin; sister Paula Durbin Gipson; two granddaughters Hailey and Madison Hunt all of Taylorville, IL, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother.

The family invites friends and family to Celebrate Donna’s Life with them and share their memories of her on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 5:00–8:00 pm at the Taylorville Knights of Columbus.
