Judith Ann Funk, 71, of Taylorville, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.  Judy was born November 1, 1952, in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Sefried) Cline.  She married Steven Funk on February 14, 1995, in Taylorville. 

 

Surviving is her husband, Steven Funk of Taylorville, IL; her siblings, Nancy Sims of Taylorville, IL, John Cline of Taylorville, IL, and David (Marilyn) Cline of Missouri; a sister-in-law, Judy Kaydus of Taylorville, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Beth; her siblings, Carolyn Clark, Karen Sparling, Gary Cline, and Frank Cline. 

 

Judy was a certified nurse assistant and worked many years at Taylorville Memorial Hospital and Taylorville Care Center.  She spent her whole life caring for and taking care of others.  She will always be remembered for her kind soul and loving heart.  During her free time, she enjoyed listening to southern gospel music and the Wanda Mountain Boys.  She also enjoyed playing games on her tablet.  She will be dearly missed.

 

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.  A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home.  Per Judy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
