Michael Howard Stansbury, 77 of Taylorville, IL, passed away on March 24, 2024, at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 19, 1946, in Spokane, WA, to the late John William Marion Stephen and Isabel Fern McKinney. He married Sallyann B. Stansbury in 1974, and they spent many happy years together before she preceded him in death on January 4, 2001. Michael served in the military and later worked as a mechanic for Copeland Trucking.

He is survived by his son, Moses Charles “Hammer” Joseph III, of Springfield, IL; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sons, Matthew Scott Joseph and Moses Charles Joseph Jr.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
