Robert "Bob" Joseph DeLuka

Robert “Bob” Joseph DeLuka, 89 of Nokomis passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. at Nokomis Health and Rehabilitation Center in Nokomis. He was born on February 28, 1935, in Witt, IL, the son of Celio Mario and Ruby Irene (Weller) DeLuka. He married Merilyn June Morgan on October 27, 1954, in Nokomis, IL and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2010. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Witt and worked as an Illinois State Trooper and he sold feed for Moorman’s Feed.   

He is survived by his daughters: Terry (Larry) Brinkman of Nokomis, IL; Dawn (Ron) DeWerff of Nokomis, IL; Dayna (Jerry) Neisler of Pawnee, IL; grandchildren: Brandi (Jim) Barker of Nokomis, IL; Brittany (Wayne) Marshall of Fillmore, IL; Jason (Angel) Brinkman of Taylorville, IL; Jay (Dani) DeWerff of Nokomis, IL; Cody (Jami) DeWerff of Staunton, IL; Gabe DeWerff (Megan Kwiatkowski) of Troy, IL; Noah (Mia Taft) Neisler of Divernon, IL; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Joey and Micah Barker of Nokomis, IL; Gavin, Madilyn and Alysin Marshall of Fillmore, IL; Alexis Barker of Taylorville, IL; Gracie, Maddox and Lauren DeWerff; Porter West of Nokomis, IL, Kayden and Logan Weis; Peyton DeWerff all of Staunton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter, Abby Neisler and Sister, Leona Huber.   

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, IL. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dan Easterday and Jimmy Barker officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis, IL with military graveside honors.

Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
