Patricia Anne Webb

Patricia Anne Webb, age 72, of Taylorville, Illinois passed away on April 25, 2024 at her home.

Patricia was born on March 17, 1952, the daughter of Ladora Wakefield and Stanley Lipinski. As a youngster, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA), and her parents were told it was unlikely Patricia would live to age 30. She lived 42 years past that prediction. Patricia experienced 17 surgeries in her lifetime, and in 1963, she was the poster child for the March of Dimes. 

Patricia graduated from Granite City High School (Granite City, IL) in 1972 and then went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. On May 12, 1997, Patricia married Jeffrey Webb. They shared 27 years of marriage together.

Patricia worked with her mom and sister at Tri Mor Bowl in Granite City before going to work for the State of Illinois where she worked for 30+ years. Patricia served numerous roles at the state but retired as Supervisor of Public Assistance. 

She loved Taylorville and lived in this community for over 40 years. Patricia was a strong, resilient, and caring person. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. Her interests included decorating, antiquing, needlepoint, collecting bunnies, and history. She was especially knowledgeable about Abraham Lincoln.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; her sister, Denise (Jonah) Gibson of Granite City, IL; niece, Kim (Jeff) Evans and their children, Nora and Winston; nephews, Scott (Beth) Trobaugh and their children, Sommer, Austin, Dakota and Praize; and Jacob Gibson; cousins, Sandra Mckinnon; Deanna Bandy; and Debbie McKinnon; several other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved cat, Bibsey.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her father; and a brother, Ricky Lipinski.

Visitation & Funeral Services: The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home 202 W. Franklin, Taylorville, IL. At the conclusion of the visitation, Patricia’s funeral service will begin, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home, with Father Piotr Kosk officiating.

Internment will follow the funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery, 820 South Cherokee St., Taylorville, Illinois.
