Judy A. Durbin, 73, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1:48 p.m. at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL.  She was born on April 20, 1951, in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Wanda (Frost) Newberry.  She married Donnie Durbin in Taylorville in 2001. 

Surviving is her husband, Donnie Durbin of Springfield, IL; a daughter, Chrystal (Todd) Woods of St. Joseph, IL; her grandchildren, Brittanie (Riley) Bell of St. Joseph, IL, Cassidy (Michael) Gould of Smithfield, VA, Tucker Williams of St. Joseph, IL, Donald Durbin of Springfield, IL, Chelsea, Rachel, and Devon Durbin, all of Taylorville, IL; her great-grandchildren, Peighton Reim, Corbin Bell, Hadleigh Bell, Nicholas Gould, and Jonathan Gould; her siblings, Linda Hart of Taylorville, IL, Paul Newberry of Taylorville, IL, William (Julitta) Newberry of Taylorville, IL, Thomas (Julie) Newberry of St. Joseph, MO, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Chuckie Newberry; a sister, Brenda Rever; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Newberry;  a brother-in-law, Mike Hart; a grandson, Christopher Williams; and a great-nephew, Brandon Mann.

Judy dedicated over 20 years to the Medical Records Department at Springfield Clinic before retiring. She deeply cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and family. She adored pampering her very spoiled cat, "Clementine." Judy also enjoyed shopping on weekends, lunching with her siblings, and relaxing while watching her favorite soap operas and late-night television. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive family and friends at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL, from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024.  The funeral service will immediately follow.  Per Judy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
