Gregory John Reber, 64 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at ­­­­9:37 a.m., as the result of a motor vehicle crash in the Raymond, IL area. He was born on July 10, 1959, in Taylorville the son of William and Janet (German) Jones. He loved to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his grandkids.

Greg is survived by his parents: William “Bill” and Janet Jones of Assumption, IL; sons: Seth (Mckinsey) Reber of Taylorville, IL; Caleb Reber of Taylorville and Jarod Reber of Taylorville; grandchildren: Ali Dubay, Tyler (Keila) Aydt, Ariel Dubay, Mason Reber, Avery Reber, Braden Reber, Raelyn Reber, Remy Reber, Olivia Curll; Great-grandchildren: Ezreal Ishmael, Harper Cheairs; Daughter-in-Law: Alicia Smith of Taylorville, IL; brother: Bill Jones of Taylorville; brother-in-law: Ron Emerson of Assumption, IL; mother of his children: Pamela Ballinger of Virden, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Rhonda Emerson and Grandson: Nicholas Reber. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Travis Bodden officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
