Nila Clair Morgan, 81 of Taylorville, passed away at 2:30a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on July 12, 1942, in Taylorville, the daughter of Columbus R. and Bertha M. (Leach) Hudson.  She married Richard L. Morgan on August 3, 1963, in Morrisonville.  Nila worked for many years as an interior designer for Home Interiors and later at Cabinetland in Springfield.  She was a member of the Taylorville First Presbyterian Church. 

She is survived by her husband: Richard Morgan of Taylorville; children: Suzanne Traughber (Jay) and David Morgan of Taylorville; and grandchildren: Kaitlynn Traughber, Jason Traughber, Nathan Traughber, and Daedric Morgan.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Charles Ray Hudson Sr. and nephew: Charles Ray Hudson Jr.

A funeral service for Nila will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev. Tom Bellegante officiating.  The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and the burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
