Dawn Elaine Donaho

Dawn Elaine Donaho, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away on June 3, 2024.

 

Dawn was born December 12, 1957 in Taylorville, IL graduating from Taylorville High School in 1976, She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Accountancy in 1981 from Sangamon State University.  After graduation, she worked for Marine Bank in Springfield, IL until 1996, when she took a position as a forensic accountant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Springfield Field Office. She transferred to the FBI's Chattanooga Resident Agency in 2012 and retired in 2021 after 24 years of service.

 

She was an incredible mother, granna and wife. She loved to scrapbook, read, and spend time at the beach with her sister and brother-in-law, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her granddaughters, Lili and Madi. She put everyone she knew before herself, and was incredibly charitable and caring. She was also an avid dog lover and unwavering Chicago Cubs fan. She was officially a member of the Taylorville United Methodist Church but attended Burks United Methodist Church in Hixson, TN since moving to the Chattanooga area in 2012.

 

She is preceded in death by her father Melvin "Chub" White and grandparents. Besides her husband Phil, she is survived by her mother Janet White of Taylorville, her daughter Dr Amber Music (Abe) of Nashville, TN, son Zachary Waterman (Kaitlyn) of St Louis, MO, son Conor Donaho (Hannah) of St Louis, MO, daughter Kenna Webb (Justin) of Knoxville, TN, granddaughters Liliana and Madilyn Music of Nashville, TN, brother Mel White (Laurie) of Taylorville, sister April Brown (Jeff) of Taylorville and several nephews. 

 

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:00 with the Rev. Scott Wilbur officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge, 2609 River Rd., New Orleans, LA 70121.
