Eva Mae Lesko, 83, of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 5:11 p.m. at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Taylorville, IL. She was born on June 28, 1941, in Kincaid, IL, the daughter of Henry and Marjorie (Dawson) Davies. Eva married Ronald Joseph Lesko on December 27, 1960, at St. Mary’s Church in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2023. After 62 years of earthly marriage, Eva Mae joins Ron for eternity in heaven.

Eva devoted her life to her family and helping others. She kept her spirit young by volunteering as a room mother. For many years, she gave back to the community through her service sorority and meals on wheels. Eva traveled often, enjoying different sights and activities with those close to her. Her love of warm weather brought her and Ron to Destin, FL, for many vacations in the winter.

Eva is survived by her daughters: Beth Kohl (Joe) of Edinburg, IL; Elaine Agnew (Bill) of Jacksonville, FL; Elise Kelly (Lee) of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Andy Meneghetti (Lauren); Tony Meneghetti; Adriana Nardulli (Santino); Thomas Meneghetti; Tyler Agnew (Kara); Olivia Agnew; TJ Kelly; Flynn Kelly; four great-grandchildren; brother: Jack (Marybeth) Davies; and her sister: Becky Witnauer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her in-laws: John and Valentine Lesko.

A graveside service for both Ron and Eva will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville. Father Rodney Swartz will be officiating.

Memorials in Eva’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
