Frederick T. Hunsley, 75 of Taylorville, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.  He was born on April 22, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Gene Thomas and Kathleen Lois (Lebshier) Hunsley.  Mr. Hunsley served in the U.S. Army and was a retired from Peabody Coal Mine #10.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, stock car racing, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. 

He is survived by his sons: Bret Hunsley and Brad Hunsley both of Taylorville; and grandchildren: Chase Hunsley, Curt Hunsley, Connor Hunsley, and Logan Hunsley.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Mr. Hunsley will be cremated, and a graveside service will take place at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Edinburg Cemetery with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
