Anna Marie Collins, 90 of Taylorville, IL passed away on September 7, 2024, at 5:48 a.m. at Carriage Crossing Senior Living Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on August 13, 1934, in Stonington, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Geneva (Jones) Tirey. She married Jimmy Collins on December 19, 1952, in Stonington, IL and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2021. Anna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, she worked and retired from Liberty Mutual in Taylorville. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna and Jimmy were avid campers and were long time members of the Illinois Avion Travelcade Club. They enjoyed their winters in Weslaco TX. Anna liked working on genealogy, putting in countless hours of dedication and research, for her and Jimmy’s families. She was an accomplished painter, winning several awards for her art. She also took time to help other budding artists.

Anna is survived by her Sons: James Michael (Kim) Collins of Springfield, IL, Timothy Gerard (Lori) Collins of Taylorville, IL; Daughter-in-Law: Marcia Collins of Taylorville; Grandchildren: Amy (Cody) Law-Peden of San Antonio, TX; Michael (Sarah) Collins of Nokomis, IL; Angela (Zach) Lancaster of Taylorville, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Riley, Aiden, Hadley, Ryanne, Lizzy and Parker; Sister: Elsie Durbin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons: Joseph and John Collins, grandson: Adam J. Collins and eleven siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 11:00-12:00 Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville. Funeral Mass will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Pitor Kosk officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
