Daniel Lee Waters, 74 of Taylorville, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Taylorville Care Center. He was born on September 22, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Ernest and Mary (Lomprez) Waters. He married Marcella Chilovich on June 20th, 1973, in Springfield. Daniel worked for many years at Circle Steele and G.S.I. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family but more than anything he loved his grandson.
He is survived by his wife: Marcella Waters of Taylorville; son: Wesley Waters (Kristy) of Taylorville; grandson: Bentley Waters of Taylorville; siblings: Juanita Peterson (Mikel Duknoski), Marilyn Marsch (Tom), Harry Waters (Anita) all of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Terry Waters and Dave Waters.
Mr. Waters will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
