Thomas L. McKinney, 65, of Decatur, IL passed away on October 29, 2024, with his daughters by his side at Imboden Creek Living Center in Decatur, IL. Thomas was born August 13, 1959, in Decatur, IL, the son of Paul and Alma Rae (Krall) McKinney.  

Surviving are his father, Paul McKinney of Decatur, IL; his significant other, Peggy Hine of Decatur, IL; his children, Casey Pratt of Illiopolis, IL; Kimberly (James) Jones of Springfield, IL; and Stephanie (Jeremy) Clark of Lovington, IL; his grandchildren; Ethan and Conor Pratt of Illiopolis, IL; Roxanne Clark and Avery Smith, both of Lovington ,IL; his siblings, Deb (Don) Rapp of Boonville, IL; Peg McKinney (Rich Wines) of St. Elmo, IL; Bird(Bonnie) McKinney of Harristown, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, James Kelly. 

Thomas enjoyed nature; he especially enjoyed his trips to the river.  During his free time, he enjoyed wood working and tinkering with his lawn mowers. 

The family will receive family and friends at Harristown Foursquare Church in Harristown, IL from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024.  A funeral service will take place following the visitation with Brian Canaday officiating.  A graveside service will follow at Harristown Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Behavioral Health.
