David Reid Lashbrook, 58 of Taylorville, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in his home.  He was born on January 19, 1966, in Los Angeles, California.  David worked different jobs such as construction, landscaping, and maintenance.  He loved spending time at the lake, fishing, and hiking.  More than anything, David adored his son and was extremely proud of him. 

He is survived by his son: Jason Lashbrook (Lexi) of Stonington; grandchildren: Eligh, Evan, Emily, and Ethan; siblings: Kenneth Lashbrook of Edwardsville and Brenda Jahanbani (Ben) of Temecula, California; special friend: Mary Durham; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father: William Lashbrook; mother: Carol Sue Loman-Hasara; son: David Reid Lashbrook Jr.; brother: Steve Lashbrook; and sisters: Regina Lashbrook and Patty Waterman; and niece: Sarah Waterman.

David will be cremated, and a private family graveside service will be held in the Morrisonville Cemetery at a later date.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
