Carol Lee Swenson, 87, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Taylorville Care Center. She was born in Chicago, IL, on December 8, 1937, to the late Fred and Mary (Shrintz) Weichselberger. She married Roy Swenson in 1965 in California and they later divorced in 1975. She loved visiting the mountains and being with her dogs.

She is survived by her children, Christy Walsh of Arizona, Scott Swenson of Colorado, and Tammy Sexson of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren, Cale Sexson of Taylorville, IL, Kaylee Sexson of Decatur, IL; great-grandchildren, Bentley Sexson of Taylorville, IL, Jacoby Sexson of Decatur, IL; and her brother, Bill Weicheselberger of Colorado.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Weichselberger, a sister, Judy McMillan, and two brothers, Fred and Michael Weichselberger.

Per Carol’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
