Paul E. Carnahan “Too Tall”, 68, of Taylorville, IL, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.  Paul was born July 29, 1956, the son of Ross and Marie (Jacobs) Carnahan.

Surviving are his lifelong partner, Kay Babbs of Taylorville, IL; his children, Angela Downing, Christopher Carnahan, Amanda Carnahan, Michael (Darcy) Carnahan, Brenda (Johnie Coy) Johnson, Nonda O’dell, Donnie Johnson, and Peggy Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Katie; and a brother, John.

Paul worked in a Body Shop for numerous years working on vehicles. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering in his garage.

Per Paul’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
