Jeremy R. Freese, 45 of Taylorville, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Taylorville Care Center.  He was born on July 22, 1979, in Springfield.  Jeremy graduated from Taylorville High School in 1997 and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Illinois, Springfield.  He enjoyed bowling, watching wrestling, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. 

He is survived by his aunt: Brenda Windell of Taylorville.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence R. “Larry” and Sandra J. (Erbes) Freese. 

Jeremy will be cremated, and his remains will be inurned at the Ponting Cemetery, Stonington.  No services are planned.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
