Richard Earl Griffith, 76 of Taylorville, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on January 17, 2025. He was born October 7, 1948, in Missouri, and adopted by Earl & Doreen (Finch) Griffith. He married Jane Black, and they later divorced. He worked at Sangamon Paper, Lee Norse, Memorial Health Care and Craig Auctioneer’s. He was a collector and bought as much as he sold.

Survived by his beloved dog DD, children: Keri (Lee) Mateer, Kati (Derek) Klopfer and Ryne Griffith, 4 granddaughters, 4 grand dogs, sister Kitty Chance, nieces & cousins, and very loyal friend Mary Jo Durbin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his request he will be cremated and there will be no services.
