With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Ann Collebrusco Gooch, who peacefully departed this world on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of 63, in her home in Pensacola, Florida.
Pam was born on October 10, 1961, in Taylorville, Illinois, to Berbalee Haggerty and Gerald Richard Collebrusco. She dedicated her life and career to nursing, where her compassion and unwavering commitment made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Outside of her profession, Pam had a deep love for knitting, creating beautiful pieces that she often donated to local charities and hospitals. Her love for her family knew no bounds, whether she was spending time with them on shopping trips, enjoying a game of Scrabble, or simply being present in their lives. Pam was especially proud to be a “Nonna” to her grandchildren and granddogs.
Pam shared a beautiful, fulfilling, and loving relationship with her husband, John Gooch, who was also her high school sweetheart. Together, they built a life full of love and joy.
A gifted cook, Pam found immense joy in preparing meals for those she loved—her legendary lasagna, a true labor of love, was always a crowd favorite.
Pam will be dearly missed by her loving husband, John Gooch; her children, Heather (Matt) Bennett and Andrew (Dani) Witbro; her grandchildren, Paisley and Tucker Bennett; her mother, Berbalee Sharon Haggerty; her brother, Terry (Denise) Collebrusco; her half-sister, Francesca Collebrusco; her stepsister, Barbara Haggerty; her stepbrother, Brian Travis Turner; her loving uncle, Alan Collebrusco; her cousins; her lifelong best friend, Lori Adams Sassatelli; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Richard Collebrusco; her stepmother, Anita Collebrusco; her stepfather, Jim Haggerty; her sisters, Sharon Tiesling; and her stepsisters, Susie Haggerty and Teresa Haggerty.
A memorial service to honor Pam’s life and the many ways she touched those around her will be held at a later date.
