Nancy Jones, 78, of Taylorville, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:40 a.m. at her home surrounded by family in Taylorville. She was born on February 14, 1946, in Paducah, KY, the daughter of Jesse and Rosa (Williams) Jones. She married Perley “Bud” Jones on November 19, 1966, in Taylorville, IL.

Nancy worked at CVS Pharmacy in Taylorville as a Certified Pharmacy Tech for 24 years. She loved socializing with her customers, reading, and going to The Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan with her friends. Nancy always had a warm hug and a fun-loving laugh for anyone she knew. Nancy was a devoted and active member of the Morrisonville Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and secretary of the women's group.  

Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years: Bud Jones of Taylorville; Daughters: Elizabeth Peat of Texas, Robin (Bob) Riggs of Morrisonville/Florida; Tina (Brian) Herman of Taylorville, IL; special Cousins: Debbie Wise and Brenda Cherry of Louisville, KY and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who she loved immensely.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son:
Raymond Jones.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the
Morrisonville First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville. Funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Ferrill officiating. The burial will be held in Morrisonville Cemetery in rural Morrisonville, IL.
