Catherine Diane Morgan, 73, of Taylorville, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at her residence. 

Catherine was born August 6, 1951, in Taylorville, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Durbin) Crowder. 

Surviving are her daughter, Bobbie (Bob) Fenno of Coulterville, IL; her two sons, James (Shannon) Morgan of Taylorville, and Charles (Caryn) Morgan of West Lafayette, IN; her grandchildren, A.J. Morgan, Mercedez Morgan, Hunter Morgan, Ryan Johnson, Drew Morgan, Greg Morgan, and Abigail Morgan; her siblings, Terry (Leroy) Harris, Robert Crowder, Dennis (Janet) Crowder, Randy (Megan) Crowder, and Susan (Jeff) Baird; her good friend, Margaret Crowder. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Keith Morgan; and her siblings, Charles Crowder, Elaine Lederbrand, Gary Crowder, Larry Crowder, and Mary Kay Crowder. 

Catherine was a social butterfly and enjoyed being around people, especially her grandchildren.  She loved gardening and taking care of her plants.  She would look forward to rummage sales on the weekends and family reunions.  She will be dearly missed. 

A visitation/viewing will be at Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Hospital for children.
