Steven Parker Kious, 32 of Taylorville, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, in his home.  He was born on March 7, 1992, in Springfield, the son of Parker Kious and Sheila K. Ramey.  Steven enjoyed basketball and football.  He loved spending time outside, especially while mushroom hunting.  Steven loved his family and enjoyed the time spent with them. 

He is survived by his mother: Sheila Cowell (Jeff) of Taylorville; father: Parker Kious (Jill Dixon) of Owaneco; daughter: Laila Kious; son: River Kious; siblings: Amber Durbin (Zac), Morgan Mense (Kyle), Megan Ballion (Joe), Tyler Cowell, and Emilee Cowell all of Taylorville; grandmother: Mary Ramey of Taylorville; nieces: JayLyn Durbin and AuBree Durbin; and nephew: Cooper Ballion.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Steve Ramey. 

Steven will be cremated, and his family will host a celebration of life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made to a fund for Steven’s children.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
