Johanna “Annie” Berendina (TerWoerds) Neymeyer, 99, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Pana Health and Rehab. She was born on January 1, 1926, in Neede Gelderland, Holland, the daughter of G.J. TerWoerds and A.H. TerWoerds Kraaijenvanger.

She married Jan Neymeyer in 1954 in Neede Holland, and he preceded her in death in 2011. Johanna retired from Georgia Pacific. She loved knitting, completing word search puzzles, and was an avid reader. She loved dancing and singing, especially “Go Rest High on That Mountain”. Above all, she loved family gatherings.

Johanna is survived by two daughters: Anita (Rex) Morgason of Winchester, and Nancy (Joe) Dooley of Taylorville; two grandchildren: Joey White of Winchester, and Brad (Emily) Morgason of Kincaid; four great-grandchildren: Liam Morgason and Resse Morgason of Kincaid, Trystan White of Winchester, and Taylor Cheyenne Shanks who preceded her in death in 2013. Granny Annie and Taylor will dance and sing in God’s Glory and forever illuminate our lives. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters, all from Netherlands Holland.

Per the family’s wishes, a private family dinner will be held in celebration of her life.
