Wilma was born June 28, 1936, in Rosamond, IL, the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Schwartzle) Best. She married Billy Spikes. He preceded her in death.
Wilma is survived by her brother, Eldon (Joyce) Best of Taylorville; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Best of Pana and Lois Best of Rushville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy; her brothers, Edwin Best, Jr. and Charles Best; a sister, Dorothy (Eugene) Eddington; and a niece, Carla Best.
Wilma loved to crochet, sew, garden, and tend to her flowers. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was very kindhearted and loved cats. She also loved to fish when she was younger.
The family will receive and family and friends at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, IL on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Nokomis, IL.
