Janet M. Pugh, 85 of Taylorville, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.  She was born on June 19, 1939, in Decatur, the daughter of Marvin O. and Mabel E. (Corn) Napier.  Janet worked for many years as a physical therapy aide at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur and was a member of the Stonington First Baptist Church.  Her faith, family, and friends were the center of her life. 

She is survived by her loving daughter: Penny Stivers of Decatur.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son: Donald Stivers. 

A visitation for Janet will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.  A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Old Stonington Cemetery officiated by Janet’s dear friend, Pastor Tim Moats.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
