Camren L. White, 19 of Stonington, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 27, 2006, in Decatur, the son of Mitchell and Shawn (Odam) White. Camren graduated from Taylorville High School where he played football and basketball. He worked for Meyers Roofing Associates in Springfield and was a member of Roofers Local 112. He loved basketball, rap music, and took pride in his hair. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially while fishing at the lake. Camren will be remembered by those who loved him for his fun-loving, carefree spirit.
He is survived by his parents: Mitchell and Shawn White of Stonington; siblings: Christian White of Stonington, Colton White (Megan) of Stonington, Kelsey Washington (Steven) of Pana, Michelle Botts of Taylorville, and Michael White (Amy) of Taylorville; grandmother: Kathy Moore of Taylorville; grandfather: Fred Odam of Stonington; 10 nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jerry and Barbara White.
Camren will be cremated, and his family will host a celebration of life where all family and friends are invited to gather at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Stonington Community Center, 500 E. North St., Stonington. Memorials may be made to the family to be used for a football scholarship in Camren’s memory. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
