Charlotte Kay Klinger, 76, of Taylorville, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Taylorville Care Center.

Kay was born October 27, 1948, in Taylorville, the daughter of Albert and Vera (Davis) Clutter.  She married Gary Klinger on December 31, 1968, in Taylorville.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Klinger of Taylorville; her children, Michael (Tara) Wiseman of Taylorville, Debra (Mike) Benz of Elba, NY; Gary (Vicky) Klinger of Springfield, and Michael Klinger of Taylorville; her grandchildren:  Trista Wiseman, Jacob Wiseman, Thomas (Sammy) Wiseman, Chrissy Wiseman, Chelsey Burg, Will (Emily) Burg, Bradley Klinger, Alexis Klinger, Shelby Cohn, and Zach (Kaylin) Cohn; 23 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rose, Candy, and Debbie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Clutter and Vera Clutter Dilley; a son, Donnie Klinger; her great-granddaughter, Racheal Jamison; her brothers, Albert and Jerry; and her sister, Mary Ann.

Kay loved to dance and going to garage sales.  She will always be remembered for her big heart and always willing to help people.  She enjoyed baking, making cookies with her grandkids, and the lottery!

The family will receive family and friends at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral service will start immediately after visitation with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating.  Kay’s wishes were to be cremated following services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian County Animal Control.
