Russell H. Mindrup, 95, of Taylorville, formerly of Nokomis, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his residence.

Russell was born on January 7, 1930, in Montgomery County, the son of Herman and Mary (Hoehn) Mindrup.

Surviving are her two nieces, Marsha Fuiten of Pawnee and Mary Ann Johnson of Pawnee; a nephew, David Bruns; a great niece, Jennifer Fuiten; and a great nephew, Andrew Fuiten. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Doris Bruns; and a brother, Darrell Mindrup.

Russell served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at Caterpillar for many years as an assembler.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church following visitation with Father Michael Meinhart officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
