Debbie Smith, 77 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 10:18 a.m. at her home in Taylorville. She was born on August 10, 1947, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Jesse E. and Etta Mae (Garrett) Fowler. She married Dennis Smith in 1965 in Owaneco, IL and they later divorced.

Debbie is survived by her daughters Kelly (Philip) Sunderland of Edinburg, IL; Shannon Smith of Morrisonville, grandchildren: Kyle Richards, Riley Reincke and Rhyse Bates. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Michael Edward Fowler.

Debbie will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
