Kyla Marie Anthony, 46 of Fayetteville, North Carolina, formerly of Taylorville, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, in her home.  She was born on October 28, 1978, in Taylorville, the daughter of Gregg and Mary (Hogge) Stephens.  On March 29, 2023, she married Brandon Anthony in Columbus, Georgia and they later made their home at Ft. Bragg Army Base in North Carolina.  Kyla was a former water plant manager for many years for the City of Taylorville.  She later went on to work from home for Cigna Health Care Systems.  Kyla loved the outdoors and loved to fish with her boys when they were little.  She and Landon would sit for hours at Kincaid Lake and spent many nights camping and kayaking there.  Kyla also enjoyed canoeing at the Current River with her family and friends.  She loved travel and the ocean and was always up for an adventure.  She was especially close with her little sister, Lacey, and they talked almost daily on the phone.  Children gravitated to Kyla, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband: Brandon Anthony of Fayetteville, North Carolina; children: Levi, Logan, Lane, and Landon Ruyle all of Taylorville; grandchildren: Mayzie, Kynsleigh, Audree, and Lincoln; mother: Mary Stephens of Taylorville; siblings: Joshua (Debbie) Stephens, Jacob Stephens, and Lacey Stephens, all of Taylorville; and grandparents: Jerry Hogge and Jody Hogge of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her father: Gregg Stephens; her paternal grandparents; aunt: Susan Hogge; and cousin: Breanna Hogge.  She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Arrangements are pending at this time with McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville.  A Celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
