Alex E Kidd, 18, of Taylorville, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 31, 2006, in Springfield, the son of Ronald Kidd Jr. and Emily (Hilbert) Kidd. Alex graduated from Taylorville High School. He enjoyed playing video games, shopping and trips to St. Jude. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Abby.
He is survived by his parents: Ron and Emily Kidd Jr.; grandmothers: Donna Davis and Betty Kidd; aunts: Ashley Baker, Barbie Brandt, Janie Leach, Shirley Hartman, Megan Davis (Danny); and cousins: Bentlee Baker, Preston Baker. Charlie Brandt, and Halie Brandt. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Ronald Kidd Sr., and his great grandparents.
A funeral service for Alex will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14th at McClure Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. The visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alex Kidd family. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
