Cynthia J. “Cindy” Taylor, 64 of Kincaid, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in her home.  She was born on June 6, 1960, in Springfield, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Weder) Burris.  She married Joe L. Taylor III in 1982, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2020.  Cindy retired from the Internal Revenue Service where she worked as a revenue officer.  She enjoyed gardening and flowers and loved and cared for many pets throughout the years.  More than anything she loved her family.

She is survived by her sons: Dustin Taylor (Kyla) of McKinney, Texas, and Cody Taylor of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren: Steele, Ava Marie, and Isabella; and brother: Ken Weder.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. 

Cindy will be cremated, and her family will host a celebration of life at a later date.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
