Chrystal Ann Bouvet, 45 of Taylorville, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in her home.  She was born on January 14, 1980, in Springfield, the daughter of Carmen K and Cheryl A. (White) Bouvet.  Chrystal graduated from Taylorville High School where she was a member of the band.  She had a love of learning and attended Lincoln Land Community College where she earned her CNA and also took culinary courses.  She previously worked as a respiratory therapist and in food service.  Chrystal enjoyed painting, crafts, and music.  More than anything she was proud to be a loving mother to her daughter, Alexandra.

She is survived by her mother: Cheryl Bouvet and daughter: Alexandra Bouvet both of Taylorville; sister: Michelle Bouvet and niece: Maklyn Bouvet both of Springfield.  She was preceded in death by her father; stepbrothers: Rick Vatthauer and Jeff Vatthauer; and nephew: Ricky Vatthauer.

Chrystal will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
