Jack Lee Beaty

Jack Lee Beaty gained his Heavenly reward on Sept. 2, 2025 at his sister’s loving home. He was born December 28, 1960, in Albany, KY where he spent his early years with his Grandmother Cash, cousin Debbie Craft, and Aunt and Uncle Maggie and Hershel Burchett. In 1974 he and his sister Anna moved to Illinois to be loved by his Uncle James and Aunt Margie Cash (aka Dad and Mom), and brothers, Eric and Greg Cash. Jack graduated from Taylorville High School in 1979. He worked at the Christian County Mental Health Association Workshop for many years. He was a Special Olympian extraordinaire, excelling and winning many medals for bowling, softball throw, and fast walking. Jack was a resident at Park Glen Apartments in Taylorville, currently holding the title for living there the longest. He made many friends there and was always ready to help his fellow residents with whatever they might need. He enjoyed fishing; his favorite sports teams of the Chicago Bears, University of Illinois, and Cardinals Baseball, his favorite recliner, and his dog, Shadow. His favorite musical groups were Alabama and the Charlie Daniels Band. He is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and girlfriend Christina Steinkuehler.  Survivors of this kind, sweet soul include his sister Anna Denton, brother-in-law Troy Denton, nieces MiKayla and McKenna; brother Eric (Beth) Cash, nephew Sam (Ashley) and great niece Lainey, niece Emily (Carson) Powell; brother Greg (Tammi) Cash, niece Abigail (Phillip) Knoche and great nephew James, niece Hope Cash (fiancé Levi Davies), and nephew Noah (Anna) Cash; plus many cousins and friends. Special thanks to the staff and residents at Park Glen for caring for Jack in such a special way, his many friends as he knew no strangers, the hospice caregivers, and all of his family who have loved and supported him as we have walked him home. Visitation will be Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Sutton Memorial Home, 327 N. Clay St. Taylorville, IL. Burial will follow at the Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Home Hospice or to Illinois Special Olympics.
